Uyghur community groups rally outside Parliament House in Canberra on March 14, 2021

Unlike many previous protests that the Uyghurs held in front of the Chinese embassy in Australia, in which the Uyghurs sought to put pressure on the Chinese government for the missing Uyghurs., The purpose of the gathering was to appeal to the Australian government to declare China's treatment of the Uighur people genocide.

Like all Uighur communities worldwide, the Uighur community in Australia is suffering from China's genocidal policies against their families and loved ones.

According to a survey conducted by the Uyghur service, Uyghurs believe that Australia or the United Kingdom would be the next country to follow the United States, Canada, and the Netherlands and recognize the genocide.
