Voice of Uyghur Editorial: Our deepest sympathies go out to the 11 victims of the Pittsburgh synagogue shooting

We are deeply saddened by the news, and we would like to express our deepest sympathies to the victims of the shooting, including 11 dead and 6 injured, which took place at the Tree of Life synagogue in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, United States. This evil attack which was a direct product of racism is an assault on all humanity.

At this very moment, Uyghur people in East Turkistan (a.k.a Xinjiang, China) are also suffering from the same racism from the Chinese government. The concentration camps in which the Uyghur people are suffering from inhuman treatment are no different from the evil Nazi concentration camps the Jewish people suffered during the Holocaust prior to the victory of World War 2.

We Muslim Uyghurs at the Uighur Agency (Uighur Times) strongly condemn this massacre. We stand firmly behind any nations and ethnic groups around the world including Jewish and Uyghur people, who suffer from hate crime and other forms of racism.

Sincerely,

Voice of Uyghur, Uyghur Times Agency
