World Uyghur Congress has launched a UK branch office in London.

On Monday representatives of the World Uyghur Congress (WUC) and UK MPs gathered in London to celebrate the launch of the new WUC office.
The WUC stated on Twitter that “The WUC thanks all the MPs, NGOs, lawyers, activists, & everyone else for joining us for the WUC London Office launch. We especially thank our UK Director @MahmutRahima & her assistant, Isabela Rodrigues, for their tremendous work. We’re grateful to work alongside these allies.”
Dolkun Isa, the president of World Uyghur Congress said:” With the reception, we officially launched the WUC London office. It was great to see so many friends at the reception. Many thanks to all my friends and supporters. Ms.Rahime, UK director of the WUC, has done excellent work in the UK.”
The ceremony took place immediately after the second and last hearing session of the Uyghur Tribunal, which was also convened at the request of the World Uyghur Congress, concluded on September 13 in London.
According to our sources, Rahima Mahmut, the director of the World Uyghur Congress (UK) and Adviser to the Inter-Parliamentary Alliance on China would continue her service as the director of the new office in London.
On May 13, 2021, the World Uyghur Congress (World Uyghur Congress) was criticized by China’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs as an anti-China organization.
